08:57 pm - why have you forsaken me jamey made awesome fried rice tonight, and i had grilled marinated vegetables that i got from wegmans (eggplant, squash, zuccinni, mushrooms, red pepper). earlier i had a burger with pesto and mozzarella cheese for 1/2 price. i went to the gym monday and today and i'm going to go tomorrow. i do the eliptical for 1/2 hour, then the ab machine, back machine, and 2 leg machines, and crunches. it really makes me feel great! i had a tiny bit of homework tonight, so i'm going to play magic with jamey. i'm liking my deodorant a lot: women degree ultra clear pure silver. i gave a presentation in bioethics this morning and brought in laffy taffy and mini-twix bars to pass out to kids who participated. nobody wanted any laffy taffy except my team members, my professor, and me. everyone else wanted twix. i think tomorrow i will wear a headband. i need to take a shower tonight. 10:54 pm - Here's to you, Mrs. Henderson I got accepted to work at SuperCamp, and then (basically) accepted to work at the Mental Health Association of Tompkins County, both for this summer, both from the beginning of July to mid-August. So I accepted the job at the Mental Health Association and told SuperCamp thanks but I just can't. So that's exciting. I'll be working at the summer recreational therapeutic program for children, and they may have me work the rest of the summer too just with families and children in the area. I dropped off my paperwork today, and I think they're going to start training me soon. Part of my training is to spend a day with Child Protective Services.
For next semester, I think I figured out my schedule (mostly). I am taking Symbolic Logic, 17th Century Philosophy, Poetics, Eastern and Indigenous Religions, and an intermediate honors seminar called Alternative Futures in Biology. Then, I might add on Anglophone Post-Independence Indian Literature, but that would make six classes, and that really is a lot. So that's a bit of a dilemma. If I do add it in, my Tuesday/Thursdays will be entirely with Sara-Maria which would be really, really nice.
I have a paper due tomorrow but I did it last night and handed it in today, so that's great. Tonight, Christof and I watched "Mother" which was exquisite. Kalia and I went to Wegmans, and I got pizza and two delicious large cookies. I have my period. Current Location: Grandview Current Mood: excited

01:54 am - atextualrelationship Tonight, Jamey and I were going to go to Juste a Taste because his parents gave me a gift certificate there for my birthday. The wait was an hour and 15 minutes, though, and we decided not to wait. We'll go another time. So we came back here, and I took out one of the chicken breasts I bought at the supermarket. Now, this is the first time I've ever bought chicken breasts. I've always wanted to, but they made me nervous. So I took this chicken breast from the freezer and microwaved it to defrost it. Then I made a little mixture of an egg and a little milk, and dipped the chicken into it. Then I coated the chicken with seasoned Wegmans breadcrumbs. Now, there was a little bit of a problem: I had forgotten to cut the chicken breast in half, and too thick is no good when pan-frying a chicken breast. Or so I read. So I cut it in half, and then just egged and breadcrumbed the other sides. Great. I heated up some oil on the stove, and fried up those chicken breasts! One I left as a simple chicken cutlet - delicious. The other one, I spread some tomato sauce on, and sprinkled some mozzarella and provalone cheese, and baked it for about 15 minutes. Out came a delicious chicken parmesean. Also, I learned today that the proper spelling is parmEsean, not parmAsean, like I'd always thought. Tomorrow we're going to a potluck dinner party at Billy and Mary's house, and we're going to cook eggplant parmesean. I'm really proud of my accomplishment. 01:39 pm - I got in my mazda and I drove to the mall Now I have an ENT appointment at 3:00. I've had a second run-in with the tonsil infection, so I'm to get them taken out. I know it seems I'm that type of person, but I don't feel that I am. Wendy doesn't feel that I am, either. I'm not a tonsil person...I'm not a wisdom teeth person...I'm not a left-handed person. I got to my beautiful Ithaca house and had to move out the next morning. It's very, very, very, very beautiful. It's very loving. The first morning, we got into Sara-Maria's bed together. Then we woke Eric. Sweeties. I want to go back. It's looking like tomorrow. I purely can't wait. The Mountain Goats, Center of the World by Bright Eyes, Neutral Milk Hotel, Sufjan Stevens...basically all the CDs Jess brought, and the songs we sang together remind me of Ghana. So Alpha Rat's Nest reminds me of Ghana. It reminds me of laying under my mosquito net in our East Legon accomodation while Jess was in the shower and Sara-Maria was out at her NGO or something, and listening to it. I kept my alarm clock, Sam, my notebook, Jamey's letters, and my cell phone under my net with me. Okay, enough. Love ya. 04:12 pm I am leaving in one week, and I am very excited and nervous and everything. I will love to go, and I will be extremely afraid on the airplane. Yesterday I was extremely afraid in the car that someone was in the back seat to decapitate me. I have worked it out and I know what classes I'll take each semester unless something goes terribly wrong. I want to watch Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. Tonight I'm going to Eddy's for brisket which is good, cause I've been in the mood for Jewish food. Last night I had a dream that I saw Ellio who I went to the junior formal with in tenth grade. I didn't say hi, I skateboarded right past him. I'm taking a break from reading The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born. I don't like that some words in titles are not capitalized, so I don't do it. I really strongly dislike the book. Sara-Maria said I'd probably like it when I got into it, but I'm a hundred and twenty pages into it, and I do not.
